Hello I have a Saffire Pro 24 that is connected via FireWire to my computer running Windows 10 Home 64-bit Build 19043, which is the newest build as of 27 June 2021. Includes Saffire MixControl for intuitive hardware control Professional converters impart pristine audio quality and reliable synchronisation. IF this is a reasonable workaround, does anyone know what exact settings I would need to set on the Focusrite Saffire prior to connecting it to the x8p, as well as Console settings?Ģ) If it is absolutely necessary to have the Focusrite connect to the iMac (i.e.24-bit/96kHz A-D/D-A converters with JetPLL jitter-elimination technology ġ) Is this something that has a work around by simply configuring the Focusrite using my old MacBook, "saving (those) settings to hardware" on the Saffire, and then simply connecting via ADAT to the x8p. I have tried connecting the Focusrite to the x8p via ADAT with no success in receiving a mic signal, although I do not know the correct settings for this sort of connection between these two interfaces. I am still able to connect the Focusrite to my old TB2 Macbook (via FW->TB2 dongle) and access/edit settings in Saffire Mix Control without problem, however I am unable to connect the Focusrite to my new TB3 iMac (via TWO dongles: FW->TB2, TB2->TB3) to access/edit settings in Saffire Mix Control or Console. Please note that Saffire 6 USB 1.1 is no longer part of our development or test plans, see this article: Saffire 6 USB 1.1 - end of development support. Both computers (Macbook and iMac) have been updated to Catalina. The USB 1.1 version of the Saffire 6 USB is not officially supported with Windows 10 2004, though it may work. Previously, I was using my Macbook Pro connected to my 8 channel Focusrite Saffire Pro40 via FireWire w/ TB2 dongle. I'm a drummer (that's not the only problem ) and I have a 2019 iMac TB3 as my home studio computer. I'm very excited to be joining the UA family with the recent addition of an x8p to my home studio setup!
